Gym Rules

Climbing is dangerous. Climbing presents a significant inherent risk of serious physical injury, including paralysis, disability or death. When you climb at Edgeworks Climbing, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with climbing. Please be careful.

Facility Rules

WAIVER: Anyone using the Edgeworks facility MUST have a signed waiver on file.
Anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also sign the waiver.
CHECK-IN: Everyone must check-in at the beginning of each visit. If you have not checked-in, you do not have permission to use Edgeworks facilities.
RESPECT: Be considerate of other climbers; please no running or yelling.
LOOSE CHALK: Please no loose chalk! Chalk balls are required.
INSTRUCTION: Technical / safety instruction is prohibited. (Except by Edgeworks Staff)
Technical / safety instruction includes: Belaying, Leading, and Rappelling.
YOUTH: Youth (under 14) must be actively supervised by an adult at all times.
Fitness equipment may only be used by those 14 and older.

Bouldering

ORIENTATION: Bouldering Orientation Required!
TOPPING OUT: Exit top of boulder wall through exit gate. Do not jump or climb down from top.
Please do not assist people topping out.
TRAVERSING: Climbers must yield to rope and auto belay climbers when traversing.
YOUTH: Must be 14 or older to Top Out. (Except under instructor/staff approval.)

Auto Belay

ORIENTATION: Auto Belay Orientation Required!
SAFETY CHECK: Climbers must double check that the auto belay is properly clipped to their harness before climbing.
YOUTH: Youth (under 14) must be actively supervised by an adult at all times.

Top Rope and Lead Climbing

CERTIFICATION: All belayers or lead climbers must have a current belay or lead certification.
