Have you wanted to get your rock climbing merit badge? Did your troop already get theirs and you missed that weekend? Are you just the only one that is interested in your troop? Well, if you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, we have created the event for you…
Edgeworks Climbing is proud to offer a new program selection designed for our Boy Scout friends! A Rock Climbing Merit Badge Jamboree! This is a fun day designed to offer the full Rock Climbing Merit Badge to any scouts or troops that are interested in obtaining this merit badge but might not have the full five students needed to reserve a time for them. There are no minimums to attend and individual scouts are welcome to join us!
Starting at 10:00am, we will be opening the doors, letting everyone arrive, welcome their friends, verify that everyone has a waiver and has been checked in. Once checked in, everyone will meet upstairs, and we will go over the gym and event rules, schedule, and any last minute notes at about the day.
The first session of the class is from 10:00am – 1:00pm. There will be a lunch break from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Please bring a lunch with you. We will have some snacks and refreshments available for purchase, but lunch is not provided by Edgeworks.
The second session is from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. After the second session ends, the scouts are able to head home or can continue to climb until 7:00pm if they would like. Either way, will be closed at 7:00pm and all scouts MUST be picked up before then.
We do not have a registration deadline, BUT we do have limited space so register early! We have 12 spots available and they will fill up fast. If you have more than five boys interested in the event, please call Patrick directly to discuss availability options.

Minimum Requirements:
– First Aid Merit Badge
– Read Climbing Merit Badge Handbook
– Rappelling Gloves (Such As Leather Work Gloves)
– Proper Clothing (Rugged, Lose Fitting – Not Baggy)
