An AIARE L1 Course  can be considered a “stand alone” courses with a focus on identifying the right questions, rather than on providing “answers”. We will offer lessons and exercises that are practical and applicable in the field.

At the end of this course you should be able to: plan and prepare for travel in avalanche terrain; recognize avalanche terrain; describe a framework for making decisions in avalanche terrain; and apply effective companion rescue.

Our highly experienced instructors have been trained by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), and the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE). They are the best in our area!
