Edgeworks
Team Going to Nationals in Maryland! |
By
Mike Kimmel - Team Coach
I'd like to say congratulations and
extend some deserved respect for
the kids on Edgework's Climbing Team
that are going to the ABS Nationals
in February - Kayla and Brandon
Lieuw, Wendy Majerus, April
Sanders, and Cody Rogers.
These kids have progressed very far in only a couple
of seasons; they are only going to get better.
Congratulations; I expect to see you all tearing the
holds off the wall at the Finals in Maryland.
As
a whole, the entire Edgeworks Climbing Team
has earned a lot of respect for their
growth as climbers. While the entire team has improved
immensely in terms of both climbing technique and
strength, I am most blown away by their attitudes
|
|
Edgeworks Climbing Team |
and
(dare I say?) maturity. They show full dedication
at every practice - pushing themselves to
their limits when asked (remember
kids - never say "take").
While
it is not uncommon to see a climber from another team
throw a fit when they can't send a route at a competition,
or to complain to a judge about scoring, this is absolutely
unheard of, unthinkable, it just-doesn't-happen with
our kids. They maintain a positive attitude,
focus, and have fun; and when it comes down
to it, that's everything that is expected from them.
Well, that and 10 push-ups for whoever gets upstairs
to stretch last.
Now
go rip some holds off. - paz.

Want You To LOVE Your Job
Surveys show that 80-95% of Americans are dissatisfied
with their jobs. Many experts agree that the easiest way to
love your job is to enjoy the relationships you build at work.
Most of us will work nearly 100,000 hours during our lifetimes
(half the waking hours of our adult lives!), it's sad that
our work doesn't bring us the rewards that we deserve!
What
better way to build relationships and trust than by climbing.
Come on, stop being so stingy and share climbing with your
co-workers. We host team-building events, guaranteed to build
confidence, trust and respect among your coworkers. Available
7 days a week. For information and pricing contact Jayson
